Dell 20.1 inch flatscreen vs Dell 24 inch flatscreen

Does the Dell 20.1 inch flatscreen get a better picture than the Dell 24 inch flat screen? Do many people feel that a 24 inch flat screen is too large if you intend to use your moniter at a desk and only a short distance from your eyes? I'm trying to decide between the two. Thanks in advance

No, because 24" has a higher resolution.  I imagine the pixels per inch measure is pretty similar.  I use a 24" at my desk and it is not too big at all.  I actually would love a 30 now, but that *might* be too big.  You simply won't be unhappy you bought the 24".  The size is totally worth it.

The 20" actually has a higher pixel density:

The 24" uses a Samsung S-PVA panel while the 20" has until recently always used a LG.Philips S-IPS panel, which is generally regarded as superior. However there are reports that it is also now using a Samsung panel. You could end up with either panel, which is the situation with the 2007FP (the 4:3 version).

PS. After using a 20" widescreen for a few months, I now wish I had a 24" :). If only there were a S-IPS version...

If I keep my 20.1 inch widescreen for a few months while saving up to buy a 24 inch widescreen, will I be able to trade in my 20.1 inch for a least a partial discount on a new 24 inch wide screen?  I'm beginning to believe that the 24 wide screen is quite perfect and that anything larger just might be too big to use at a desk.
